Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott and her entire family won the Grammy for Best Contemporary Christian Album at the 2017 Grammy Awards on Sunday (Feb. 12) for their family gospel album, Love Remains.

This was the families SECOND Grammy win for the night and her and her family returned to the stage just to accept the Grammy for Best Contemporary Christian Album just minutes after winning the Grammy for Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance / Song for “Thy Will,” the lead single from Love Remains.

Scott had a tough time trying to keep her emotions together through her first acceptance speech, but pretty much immediately handed the microphone to her father, Lang Scott, who spoke while Scott, mother Linda Davis and sister Rylee held each other and wept.

The album was inspired by difficult times for the family, including the death of Scott’s grandfather and a miscarriage she suffered.

“We’ve been crying since this project started,” Lang remarked, thanking those closest to the family who supported them through his dad’s leukemia battle. “From day one, our hope was that this music would bring hope to people. Our prayer from day one and throughout was that it would permeate to people who would hear it that are in need, and that it would give them comfort and encourage them. So we are grateful as a family.”

He also thanked Ricky Skaggs, who he said not only produced the record, “he pastored it for us.”
