The Players Championship takes place every year just up the road from us in Ponte Vedra Beach and is one of the biggest golf tournaments of the year. They always have a military appreciation show as well that country artists like Jake Owen have played in the past. Yesterday though, it was Sam Hunt’s turn.
PGA Tour writes “In the past, the ceremony has included pageantry by military personnel, a flyover by the Florida Air National Guard, and a performance from some of the hottest names in country music like Luke Bryan, Dierks Bentley, and Jake Owen. This year is no different, with the ceremony being kicked off by PGA Tour professional Graeme McDowell, followed by a flyover from the 125th Fighter Wing of the Florida Air National Guard, and the National Anthem performed by US Navy retiree, Byron Rowe. The ceremony will close with some remarks from PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan and General (Ret) Raymond Odierno along with a special concert by Sam Hunt.”
