Country Music is taking over the NFL! With Carrie Underwood on Sunday Night Football we needed someone to continue being in charge of Monday night too. So of course we are happy to announce Hank Williams Jr. returns to ESPN’s Monday Night Football this fall, but he isn’t going to be alone on the opening night. He’s be accompanied by a couple of rowdy friends that we know very well and during the broadcast’s opening theme, Hank will perform his hit song “All My Rowdy Friends Are Coming Over Monday Night” with the help from Florida Georgia Line and R&B star Jason Derulo. All three artists recorded audio tracks in May and just recently filmed the opening video together on Sunday (6/4) at Nashville’s Marathon Music Works.
FGL’s Brian Kelley says, “We all grew up watching Monday Night Football and it’s surreal to join Jason Derulo and Hank Williams Jr. on this new version that gives a nod back but also a step forward!” It was announced earlier this week that Williams was returning to Monday Night Football for the first time in more than five years.
