It has been 3 years since Garth Brooks announced his return to the stage and that he was going to do a world tour for the first time in 18 years AND with his wife, Trisha Yearwood. Well, he isn’t even close to making that tour his last one. He took to social media on Monday (6/4) to announce he is releasing new music and he will be announcing a new tour, where he announces the cities as he goes (which is what he did on his last tour vs. releasing all the dates and shows at the same time).

Can you believe it’ll be Garth Brooks’ first major festival in the “modern era” this weekend at Stagecoach in California?!
He closes out the festival Sunday night, but went to his pal Keith Urban who’s also playing the festival to ask what he should expect:
Garth says, “You know, this is going to be the first festival that we’ve gotten to play in the modern era, and…Keith Urban’s on there…so I had to text Keith, ‘Hey, man – what’re these things like?’ And he said, ‘It’ll be the most fun you’ve ever had.’ So, to tell Garth Brooks it’s going to be [More]

It was just a few years ago Garth Brooks partnered with Walmart to release a Walmart-exclusive box set of his CD’s and DVD’s, and it looks like he’s formed another partnership with a Walmart competitor – Target.
This Target exclusive set “will feature nine discs of music from Brooks’ catalog, remastered and curated into thematic playlists. The 10th disc will be an exclusive version of Brooks’ yet-unnamed new album, featuring Target-only bonus tracks.”
Garth says, “Target has always been a friend to artists and their music. I can’t begin to describe how excited I am to be partnering with them.”

Well dang! You forget just how much money Garth & Trisha have when you hear things like this…
They just sold their Malibu, California home for $7 million – and the LA Times reports, “The ranch-style house, built in 1958, sits on half an acre in a gated community with private access to Paradise Cove Beach.”
You can see photos of the home here.
